Hey, Boston! This is Why the Tigers Are Going to Win!

It's time to tell the world why the Detroit Tigers are going to come out on top in the American League Championship Series.

Now that the Detroit Tigers came out on top of a tough American League Division Series against the Oakland A's, our guys are headed to Boston on Saturday to face the Red Sox in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series.

We here at your Michigan Patch sites are always up for some friendly competition. We have some Patch counterparts near Boston who have challenged us to come up with all the reasons the Tigers are going to continue their winning ways during the ALCS.

The Boston sites, likewise, are posting the reasons they are convinced their Sox are going to end up victorious. (We don't fault them for trying, but do recommend razzing them in the comments below.)

So, why are you sure that the Tigers are going to be the American League team headed to the World Series? Tell us in the comments below.

Is it the power in the beards? Is it the reliability of our bullpen? Is it the sheer success of the bats? JV's throwing arm? Or just the crazy tenacity the team has shown all season long?

By the way, the first game of the ALCS will take place Saturday at Fenway Park. First pitch is scheduled for 8:07 p.m. and the game will be televised on Fox.
