New Football Coach Holds Mini-Camp at Royal Oak High School

Jeff Hill puts about 80 players through live workouts in midst of sweltering heat.

Back in February, 's new football coach Jeff Hill wasn't planning a remake of Bear Bryant's infamous trip to Junction, TX, where he punished his new Alabama team in 100-degree heat from dawn till dusk.

But this week's three-day mini-camp came right in the middle of one of Michigan's hottest June weeks. With nearly 80 attendees from the varsity and junior varsity, Hill is taking his classroom work to the field for practical application.

Under former coach Dave Potter, the team struggled through three previous winless seasons.
