Need to Know: Ferndale Green Cruise is Saturday

The eighth annual cruise on Aug. 11 will include bike rides, a parade and more.

There's a different kind of cruise coming to town, being held a week ahead of the upcoming Woodward Dream Cruise.

The eighth annual Ferndale Green Cruise will be held on Saturday. Hosted by the Sierra Club, the family-friendly event aims to celebrate the forms of human-powered transit that help keep people and the planet healthy.

All of the Green Cruise events will be held at or begin at the "Green Alley" located just west of Woodward at Nine Mile and Planavon Street. The event is free to enter.
