Thank YOU...Part 2

As promised I will continue to thank some pretty amazing people who have made an impact on my 43 years of existence...

My Other "Moms"

Aunt Sheila:  Ever since I can remember you and I have shared a bond...most like a sisterhood.  You have always understood me and many times have stood up for me.  At my wedding you cried because you were so happy for me and as if I was your very own daughter.  You never had any children of your own, but you would have made an amazing mother as you were always there for me, never judged and ALWAYS loved :)

Thank you for always signing your birthday cards to me "Aunt Sheila and cats" when I was a little girl..... Thank you for always believing in the woman I have become and THANK YOU for loving me

Jane O'Brien (my godmother):   My earliest memories of our relationship are me waiting on the couch looking out the front window of the house on Hillcrest.  You would give me the most sentimental gifts like the copy of Little Women that I still have.  Your inscriptions were always based out of love and your penmanship was something I admired.

Jane you always loved unconditionally... no matter what I shared with you, you never judged.  You saved me in my teenage years when I felt alone and beaten down.  You were a role model and big sister which was something I needed back then.   As I got older I loved sharing my joys with you as I knew you would be proud and give me a giant hug.  Meeting my boyfriend Bill...he was the only one I brought to you because you both meant the world to me.

When dad died... you were the first one I called as I sat on my kitchen floor crying.  Nobody else could soothe me during that time as you grew up knowing my dad and understood how close he and I were.  I woke you up (sorry about that) but you didn't mind as you knew I needed you.

Jane.... Thank you for always being my rock, my big sister and my mentor for what kind of mother I wanted to be.  Thank you for loving me, even if I was being a snotty teenager who was mad at her mother.  I will cherish our relationship forever...beyond today and tomorrow and well beyond our golden years...  I love you :)

Aunt D:  "Baby Girl" is what you have always called me and it has meant the world to me as I have always thought myself the daughter you never had (3 boys was a lot).   You are the Aunt who keeps me in check and reminds me what is important when I am too angry to see it.  You tell it like it is but have such a kind heart to listen when I need it the most.

At any gathering you are the first one I go to... OR ELSE!  Hugs are your specialty and you always send your love to my family at the end of every call (I love that you do that!!).  Family means everything to you and I hope someday to me the Matriarch of the Family as you are today.  You and Uncle Ron were there for my siblings and I after our dad died.... you checked up on me and never forget to send a card for my anniversary and birthday ( I love that too :) )

Thank you Aunt D for being such an amazing female force in my life... you can never know how much I continue to need you and all of the love you give!
