Public Hearing on Non-Motorized Transportation Plan

The Royal Oak Planning Commission is now taking written testimony on the proposed non-motorized transportation plan. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 14th at city hall.

The Royal Oak Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the proposed non-motorized transporation plan next week!  If you support better biking and walking in Royal Oak it is very important that you let the planning commission know, either by attending the public hearing or submitting written testimony.

The plan is great, you can read it at http://www.ci.royal-oak.mi.us/portal/departments/planning/non-motorized-transportation-plan. The Planning Commission and city staff did a fantastic job.  Let them know!

Even single-sentence testimony, eg "I support this plan," will go a long way towards showing strong community support for biking and walking enhancements in Royal Oak.  The public hearing is:

  • Tuesday, February 14, 2012
  • 7:30pm*
  • Royal Oak City Hall, 211 Williams, Royal Oak, MI 48068
  • 3rd Floor (city commission chambers)

*Warning: the meeting will be long (there are other items on the agenda).  Public comment on the non-motorized plan will likely begin at 9pm or later.  If you can't make the meeting please submit written testimony, even if it is a single sentence:

  • Email written testimony to dough@ci.royal-oak.mi.us.
  • Fax written testimony to 248-246-3005.
