In the spirit of giving is better than getting, the team at Health System took the opportunity to help make the holidays a little brighter for children and adults who could use some extra cheer.

More than 250 gift bags containing presents for children and adults were delivered in a moving truck Monday morning to the , which is an agency that provides services for abused and neglected children and adults with developmental disabilities.

"We match kids up with donors who shop for them, wrap their gifts and see to it that they have a nice holiday," Morgan said.

The hospital has been involved in the program for more than a decade. Morgan says the Beaumont team provides a "big chunk" of the gifts the agency distributes to make the holidays special for those in need.
