Week Ahead: City Meetings, Nature Walk, Jingle Bell Jazz and More

There's a lot going on in Royal Oak this week. Here are five things you should know as you go about your week.

There's always a lot going on in Royal Oak. Here are some highlights this week:

  1. City Commission meets Monday: The City Commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
  2. Downtown Development Authority meets Tuesday: The DDA meeting starts at 4 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
  3. Jingle Bell Jazz on Thursday: The Royal Oak High School Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble will be joined by the Royal Oak Middle School Jazz Band to present "Jingle Bell Jazz" from 6-9 p.m. at the Royal Oak Farmers Market.  Tickets are $15/adults, $12/seniors and $8 for children 10 and under. Ticket price includes hot and cold foods and beverages and outstanding jazz music!  There will also be a silent auction.  
  4. Owl Hoot on Thursday: The Owl Hoot nature walk is being held at Cummingston Park at 7:30 pm. Park and meet at the Leafdale / Torquay location. This event is free and open to the public. Visit the Nature Society online for the complete nature walk schedule.
  5. Kids eat free on Sunday: During December on Sundays, kids 12 and under eat free at participating restaurants in Royal Oak. See individual locations for any restrictions.
