Friends of the Library Used Book Sale


Event - Date & Time:  Thursday, March 6, 2014 - 5 p.m. - Saturday, March 8, 2014 - 5 p.m.

Visit the Royal Oak Public Library (222 E. Eleven Mile Road) for the Friends Annual Book Sale on March 6, 7, and 8. Gently used children’s books will be on sale in the Youth Activity Room and adult books, CDs and DVDs will be on sale in the Friends Auditorium. LPs, sheet music, toys, and magazines are included in the sale. Thursday, March 6, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. is the Friends preview night (memberships available at the door). Read more »

Royal Oak Symphony Orchestra Spring Concert


Event - Date & Time:  Friday, March 7, 2014 - 8- 9 p.m.

The Royal Oak Symphony Orchestra will hold a concert on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 8:00 pm in the Dondero Auditorium, Royal Oak Middle School, 709 N Washington, (¼ mile North of 11 Mile Rd.) Royal Oak, Michigan 48067. This performance includes works by Rimsky-Korsakov, von Flotow, Gade, Gluck, and Borodin. Tickets are available at the door. Holistic Health and Wellness Expo


Event - Date & Time:  Saturday, March 8, 2014 - 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Sponsored by the Royal Oak Community Coalition, Holistic Health and Wellness is being held March 8th at Royal Oak High School from 10:00 - 3:00. The expo features, 50 practitioners to meet individually with attendees, 16 min-presentations and several exercise classes All to help people become familiar with alternative modalities to reduce pain and discomfort with less reliance on addictive prescription drugs and to incorporate lifestyle choices that promote healthy mind, body and spirit.. Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Royal Oak


Event - Date & Time:  Saturday, March 8, 2014 - 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. 

The Norman O'Brien Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians will host the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Royal Oak on Saturday, March 8, 2014. The parade is an event to honor and celebrate Irish family traditions to include demonstrating Irish pride and heritage. At 11:30 a.m., the parade of floats, clans, step dancers, bagpipers and community groups leaves Royal Oak Middle School, 709 N. Washington, and goes south on Washington to Seventh Street. Orson Starr House Quilt Display


Event - Date & Time:  Sunday, March 9, 2014 - 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

This Open House on Sunday, March 9th from 1 - 4 p.m., will host the Cameo Quilters Guild Quilt Display (Rescheduled from February). The display is featuring the special presentation of a verterans pride quilt. The Orson Starr House Museum is located at 3123 N Main Street (one block South of 13 Mile Road) with additional free parking one block south at the Salvation Army Citadel.
