Here's five festive things to do around Royal Oak this weekend.

Looking for something to do this weekend in Royal Oak? Here are some ideas.

1. Shop at the Royal Oak High School PTSA’s Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the high school (1500 Lexington Blvd.). Juried items being showcased include country and wooden items, fall and Christmas items, jewelry, clothing, pottery, stained glass and much more.  Click here for more details.

2. Run in the Santa Scamper on Sunday. The half-mile course is run on the Holiday Magic Parade route. The Santa Scamper is open to all walkers, joggers, and runners. It is a noncompetitive event that takes place just ahead of Royal Oak's Holiday Magic Parade at 1:30 p.m. Click here for details.

3. Watch the 12th Annual Holiday Magic Parade beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday. The parade marches down Washington Avenue and showcases over 80 parade units including marching bands, floats from the Parade Company, circus performers, dance troupes and more! Be sure to check out the new parade units this year including the Detroit Circus with acrobatic stilts, jugglers with rolling globes, and ribbon dancer on stilts, music from Nick Kuhl & the Gang, and HOOPER from the Detroit Pistons. The Fresh 100.3 morning show will serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal. Click here for more details.

4. Kids eat free every Sunday at participating downtown restaurants as part of "It's a Wonderful Season in Royal Oak." Click here for details.
