Gayle Harte began making and selling her own handmade truffles out of her kitchen in 1979. She's been selling those truffles and much more out of her Downtown Royal Oak store since 1985. Many of the unique chocolate creations are crafted directly above this shop on Washington Avenue. Offerings include the very popular High Heel Shoe, a chocolate mold so realistic that you'll have to see it to believe it. Gayle's Chocolates also features children's activities, live music on Sundays, and a counter perfectly suited to sip coffee or espresso while enjoying the unique treats.
