Gov. Rick Snyder stopped Thursday at Penna's of Sterling to promote his "Yes on 1, No on the Rest" bus tour urging Michigan residents to approve proposal one and reject proposals two through six when they vote on Nov. 6.
Proposal 2 will ask voters to amend the Michigan Constitution to address collective bargaining rights; this proposal appears on the Nov. 6 ballot.
The Detroit Institute of Arts millage passed in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties on Tuesday.
With many precincts still reporting, Oakland County voters seem to be in favor of the DIA millage, while Macomb County's passage or rejection of the millage lies within a margin of 1 percent. Wayne County has yet to report its results.
Two millage proposals will appear on the Aug. 7 ballots of all Oakland County voters.
