HAVEN, a nonprofit organization with locations in Pontiac, Royal Oak and Bingham Farms, gives women, men and children who are being abused the tools they need to get out of violent relationships and live a healthy life. It offers its clients a variety of services, including counseling, a 24-hour crisis line, prevention education, a safe shelter and more. The request for meals for homebound seniors is on the rise, especially during the holidays for the Meals on Wheels program, which delivers meals to homebound seniors unable to prepare food for themselves. According to the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) 1-B, which aids seniors in Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair and Washtenaw counties, Meals on Wheels delivers around 7,300 meals throughout the area during the year's six major holidays, includng Christmas and Hanukah. Would you like to see a World War II monument in Royal Oak? If so, donate to the cause!

The Honor Flight Michigan Legacy, Inc. is a nonprofit group based out of Royal Oak that raises funds to fly World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to see the World War II memorial. Between 2007 and 2010 the organization was able to escort about 1,400 veterans to see the monument for their first time.
