Best Buy executives may be giving up on some of their big-box stores, according to a Wall St. Journal report this week. The Minnesota-based electronics chain said it would close 50 Best Buy stores. At this time, however, the list of stores to close isn't known. Oakland County outlets, in addition to the one on Telegraph in Bloomfield Hills, are located in Madison Heights, Southfield, Farmington Hills, Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills and Novi (two stores -- at West Oaks Shopping Center and on Haggerty Road). There also are two mobile specialty stores, at Great Lakes Crossing and Oakland Mall, according to the Best Buy store locator.
