Spring Break in Royal Oak: Camps, Classes and More

Are you sticking around town next week and wondering what to do with the kids? Here's a look at some fun spring break activities.

Spring Break begins next week for Royal Oak schools and there are plenty of fun activities for everyone planning on staying close to home. Here are a few ideas for things to do. Whimsy,  3 - 5 p.m. Saturday, March 31 Each child will decorate and take home an adorable apron, a flower pot that will be hand-painted by them and about six flower cookie pops made by 2 Cute 2 Eat Organic Sugar Cookies also decorated by each child to fill it. It's the perfect Easter gift for Grandma! The cost per child is $25. Worden Park, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. April 2-6 Total Soccer coaches Eric Scicluna and Nate Craft help players ages 5-12 improve their game, no matter their particular level of play, by sharpening their technical and tactical soccer skills. FIRST Robotics tournament at Troy Athens High School Friday and Saturday. High School (age) teams build robots to compete against each other. The game is a version of basketball. It's free to come watch and pretty amazing what these kids are able to do.   more ›
