The following letter was sent to Royal Oak Patch by Bob and Carol Hennessey of Royal Oak: We have come to you before when we needed to move the Veterans Monument to a more dedicated place to show respect to our Veterans and the wonderful people of this community have come though with flying colors. We are coming to you again to help us support Carlo Ginotti for 44th District Court. We have had the privilege to work with Carlo for many years on different committees and have found him to be an honest hard working family man that does what he says he is going to do such as working to continue to have a Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade to honor our veterans, cleaning veterans' graves and placing flags on their graves plus so many more things that…

I was born and raised right here in Royal Oak. I met Carlo years ago through mutual friends and I have come to appreciate his commitment to our community. I have watched him work as our City Commissioner for eight years and like many of you, learned to respect his leadership and thoughtfulness even when I did not always agree with him on some issues. I watched as he worked in the community on the Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade and even enjoyed watching him host the Royal …

The following letter was sent to Royal Oak Patch by former Royal Oak City Commissioner Andrew Prentice: Way down the ballot in this election lays an important choice for the citizens of Royal Oak. The election of a replacement for Judge Daniel Sawicki is one that carries great importance for the people of our hometown. Make no mistake, Judge Sawicki has done this town proud with his service. For over 20 years, as both an elected official and private citizen, I have admired how he has served this city with both toughness and grace. His replacement must both be time tested and know the people and mores of Royal Oak well. Carlo Ginotti is uniquely qualified to carry on Judge Sawicki’s role. As a former City Commissioner he knows our …

The following letter was sent to Royal Oak Patch by Tom Hallock, a former Royal Oak City Commissioner: I strongly endorse Carlo Ginotti for the 44th District Court Judge to voters. Carlo's experience is not narrow, it is broad based and lengthy. He has had considerable experience both in the private legal sector and as a special prosecutor for the Oakland County Prosecutor's office. Royal Oak has trusted Carlo Ginotti before, electing him twice as a City Commissioner to help run the entire city. Having served with Carlo on the City Commission, I can attest that he was very thorough in preparing for meetings and asked the questions that needed to be asked. Anyone who runs for office is automatically a politician, despite any protests to the…

The following letter was sent to Royal Oak Patch by Dave O’Connor, a Royal Oak resident: I would like to take a moment to share with you my thoughts about the District Judge race in Royal Oak as I have been following the candidates all along. Before I continue, I want to disclose that I have only lived in Royal Oak (formerly of Traverse City) for two years therefore I do not have any major alliance to either candidate and am objective in my analysis on both candidates. I know that both Ginotti and Meinecke seem to be good men and that may be true as Mayor Ellison has publicly stated. However, when I objectively look at both candidates I have to go with Carlo Ginotti and the reason is he is ready for the position. Carlo has worked in …
