Letter to Editor: Judge Sawicki Endorses Meinecke for District Court Judge
Judge Daniel Sawicki says Derek Meinecke's knowledge of the law and professional demeanor and temperament have earned him the respect of judges and attorneys alike.
The following letter was sent to Royal Oak Patch by Judge Daniel Sawicki: For the past 30 years I have had the honor of serving as one of your judges at the 44th District Court. At the end of this year I will retire from the bench and I’m most grateful for the trust the community has invested in me over these many years. In just a few short days, Royal Oak will have the opportunity to select a new face to help lead our court during these exceptionally challenging times. Derek Meinecke is my choice to replace me as District Court Judge. Derek’s experience with the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office over the past decade has prepared him to become not just a good judge but an exceptional judge.
