Precinct 9 Chair Shannon Crepeau has tips for voting in Royal Oak on Tuesday.

Tuesday, Royal Oak voters go to the polls to vote for a mayor, three city commissioners and two school board members. They will also be asked to decide on four proposals.   Last November, when state voters went to the polls to elect a new governor, 49 percent of registered Royal Oak voters participated — slightly less than the Oakland County average of 52 percent, according to the City Clerk's Office. Voter turnout is expected to be low Tuesday. The last time there was a city and school general election, in 2009, only 25 percent of registered voters cast ballots.
