A Royal Oak couple is in the spotlight on Autoweek TV. Kyle Evans and Michael Chetcuti spin on work life, home life and cars in the in the living room on an episode of Reader's Garage. [Click here to watch the video.] The couple's home can comfortably hold four cars. "I wish it could hold more. We just have to rotate them around," Evans told Autoweek. Evans is chief designer for Jeep and Chetcuti is a principal at American Expedition Vehicles, which manufactures rugged and stylish aftermarket parts for Jeeps. Academy Award winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black will speak at the Royal Oak home of Michael Chetcuti and Kyle Evans on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 1. The $1,000 per person dinner will benefit the American Civil Liberties Union. The evening will include a lively discussion of current events, Hollywood, and design, and will include a tour of the award-winning Chetcuti/Evans home, a converted industrial building. Dinner will be catered by four-star Bacco Ristorante with beer and wine supplied by Royal Oak’s Cloverleaf Fine Wine. Reception at 13 Mile and Woodward honors Woodward Avenue artwork.
When you love someone or something, you pay tribute to it. Royal Oakers love Woodward Avenue and the time spent on the All-American Road with friends, favorite cars and hangouts. The Dream Cruise commemorates that love affair during the summer, but the Woodward Avenue Association (WA3) has found a way to pay tribute to the nationally recognized road year round by installing artwork tributes – each one standing 30-feet tall. On Wednesday night, the Royal Oak Tribute located in the median of Woodward and 13 Mile Rd. was officially recognized with a gathering of supporters, donors and residents that welcomed the fourth tribute, which joins others in Ferndale, Pontiac and Highland Park.
