Icons and Local Talent Support Gleaners With An All-Star Holiday Show

Music fans with diverse tastes will enjoy a unique holiday celebration, Christmas Jubilee 2012, Sunday, Dec. 16 at the Masonic Temple, when local artists are joined by some of music's biggest names to help support Gleaners Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. The show will feature a dozen locally and internationally acclaimed artists, and include a headline performance by Patti Smith. Smith, known by some as the Godmother of punk, has inspired masses through her poetry, music, and art. The first exhibition of her photography in the United States, Camera Solo, came to the DIA last June and her performance there in conjunction with the exhibit quickly sold out.
