Two Royal Oak High School Students Named to Vocal Internship Program
Rackham Symphony Choir announces its high school vocal interns for the 2012-2013 season.
In an era where cuts to music instruction in schools is epidemic, it with great pleasure that Rackham Symphony Choir (RSC) announces four students have been accepted into the High School Vocal Internship Program for the 2012-2013 concert season. Chosen after a private audition are Isaac Garrigues-Cortelyou and Caroline Hofman of Royal Oak High School; Dominik Belavy of South Lyon High School;and Eileen Plunkett of Clarkston who is homeschooled. The interns train with the choir under RSC’s Artistic and Music Director Maestra Suzanne Mallare Acton, perform large-scale choral works, are mentored by members of the Rackham Symphony Choir and receive private professional vocal instruction.
