'The Bachelor' Dishes on Wedding Plans, Dancing and a Royal Oak Bartender

You can catch Sean Lowe, the star of ABC's "The Bachelor" and "Dancing with the Stars," at the Michigan International Women's Show.

Fans of ABC's The Bachelor will have the chance to meet Sean Lowe at the Michigan International Women's Show at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi next week.  For Lowe, who once had 25 ladies simultaneously vying for his affections, the expo should be a bed of roses.  “I have learned a few things about being around a lot of women at one time, but it is not easy,” joked the Dallas-native by phone on Wednesday. The reality TV star will tell the story of how he fell in love on The Bachelor and his experiences on Dancing With The Stars on the Fashion Stage Thursday, May 2 at 2 p.m. “I am going to say a little something and then do a Q & A with the audience. Royal Oak Bartender Shares Her Pick for 'The Bachelor' Sean Lowe

Ashley Palenkas, who was a contestant this season, shares her choice for winner of Monday night's season finale of "The Bachelor" on ABC.

A Royal Oak bartender says she certainly has a favorite bachelorette on the love 'em and leave 'em ABC hit, "The Bachelor". Monday at 8 p.m., we'll find out whether Catherine Giudici or Lindsay Yenter wins Dallas native Sean Lowe's heart during the reality show’s season finale. “Definitely Catherine is my favorite. She’s my top pick,” said Ashley Palenkas, 28, a bartender at Fifth Avenue in downtown Royal Oak. Macomb Township resident and Royal Oak bartender Ashley Palenkas was the first eliminated from 'The Bachelor' Monday night.

This Macomb Township resident will be looking for love somewhere else, after Ashley Palenkas, 28, was the first eliminated from the season premiere of The Bachelor Monday night. Palenkas, who also moonlights as a bartender in Royal Oak, was one of 25 ladies who vyed for the heart of Dallas native Sean Lowe during the latest season of the ABC reality show. Lowe was a finalist one last seasn's The Bachelorette before he was sent home by Emily Maynard. According to Palenkas' bio, she considers herself a romantic who wears her heart on her sleeve, letting emotions "rule over my head." ABC's 'The Bachelor' Ben Flajnik to Visit Troy Kroger

Flajnik and business partner will introduce customers to a new wine from their winery this Friday.

The following information was provided by Katie Riehl/Kroger. Ben Flajnik from ABC’s "The Bachelor" and his business partner in Envolve Winery, Mike Benziger, are excited to return to Michigan to visit two Kroger stores for special wine events with customers. Flajnik will be at Kroger on Coolidge Highway in Troy from 5-7 p.m. this Friday, June 29; he will also visit a Kroger in Ann Arbor on Thursday. He and Benziger will greet guests and sign Envolve wine bottles. They will also be hosting wine tastings at the stores, where they will introduce their newest wine, Sonoma Mountain Rosé. The two made appearances at Kroger stores in Novi, Birmingham and Bloomfield Township earlier this year, where they were so pleased with the events they have …

ABC To Hold Casting Call for 'The Bachelor' in Novi

The network is looking for men and women for season 17 of the TV show.

ABC will be in Novi on June 14 to look for men and women to be on season 17 of the hit show The Bachelor. Men and women who are interested in finding true love on the show can go to the casting call at Tin Fish, located at Twelve Oaks Mall, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. You can also apply or nominate someone online or via mail. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. The casting website says the show is looking for men and women with charm, style and personality. The TV executives are having more than a dozen casting calls across the country within the next two months, but this is the only one planned in Michigan. The season 16 finale of the show with Bachelor Ben Flajnik aired in March, and Flajnik stopped by Novi's Kroger in February to hand …
