WOW! Cable Service Problem Resolved, Official Says

A bandwidth issue caused outages that frustrated residents in Royal Oak and surrounding areas, the company's Michigan general manager says; impacted customers must call to request a credit, he adds.

Instead of looking forward to watching the Bowl Championship Series finale on Monday night, Royal Oak WOW! customers worried ongoing problems with their cable service would prevent them from seeing Alabama take on Notre Dame in the national championship football game. "Near downtown Royal Oak we were still experiencing problems throughout the day," wrote Bridgett Karkkainen on Royal Oak Patch's Facebook page on Monday. "Ours has been acting up for about two weeks, starting between 8-10 p.m. every night, with some nights worse than other," added Amber Rose Szczechowski. i'm in Rochester Hills, Mi. The problem has NOT been fixed here. It was pixelating for the last week or so, but at least was on. Today, Jan 8, it went out entirely. According to my recording, it went out sometime around 9:15 this morning. Very aggravating! When do you expect it to be back on?   more ›
