I am married, 50 years old, with two daughters aged 17 and 19. I moved to Royal Oak in 2003 from Clawson.

I've am active in community affairs. I volunteered for the two successful ballot campaigns to pass the school bond and operating millage. I'm active in the Royal Oak Area Democratic Club and now serve as chair.

I'm a member of the city Environmental Advisory Board, where I've helped organize and lead an effort to get Royal Oak to adopt a non-motorized transporation plan and take other steps to make our city friendler to bikes and pedestrians.

I'm employed full-time as a software engineer; I develop applications using Microsoft Visual Studio.
