How to Get Around the Oak Apple Run

Here's what you need to know before you attempt to cross town on Saturday morning.

If you're not running or walking in the Oak Apple Run— or cheering on a friend who is running or walking in one of the three race events — you're likely trying to stay away from it.

Here's what you need to know to avoid the road closures.

The basics

There are three races: a 10K run, a 2 mile fun run/walk  and a 1/4 mile kids run. They'll start, staggered, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Runners report to the starting area, at Main Street between Second and Third streets, 30 minutes prior to the start time for 2 mile fun run/walk and 10K run. The 1/4 mile kids begins at the corner of Main and Fourth.
