Director Noriko Kambara, a Japanese native living in Michigan, has made a feature film entitled "BELIEVE AGAIN", showcasing the beauty of the state of Michigan. This Michigan-made film was officially selected at 18th International Family Film Festival in Hollywood, CA.
Director Kambara arrived in Michigan in 2009. Prior to relocating to Michigan, Kambara was cautioned by friends not to live in Michigan. They told her that Michigan is the most dangerous state in the US. Frightened by their admonitions and other dark media images and information about the area, Kambara wondered how she could move to Michigan.
However, Kambara says, "After I came here I noticed there are a lot of beautiful places in Michigan. People who warned me about Michigan's bad image just don't know the real Michigan. Actually, they have never been here. They were also given a bad impression of Michigan by the media. The media often exaggerate only the dark aspects of Detroit. So, I want to show them the beautiful aspects of Michigan through my film."
This film will debut on March 2nd 2013 at Main Art Theater in Royal Oak, MI.
