Royal Oak Schools Launches New Website

The Royal Oak School District has launched a newly designed website, royaloakschools.org,  that is more informative and user-friendly. The site has expanded areas for students, parents, staff and community members with links to regularly used forms and documents.

The site also features quick access to academic and athletic information, as well as improved access to board of education information. The District will continue to update content to make the website a primary source for district information.

“This improved online access is part of our effort as a district to move forward by enhancing communication with our community stakeholders,” said Superintendent Shawn Lewis-Lakin.  “We are pleased with this new design and so is the community. We’ve already had a tremendously positive response.”

The district’s website redesign process began earlier this year with a committee of parents, administrators, community members and Board of Education representatives. Following a period of research and discussion, the committee established a set of requirements which were incorporated into the district’s new website.  Among these capabilities is user-friendly site navigation.  In addition to a new look and feel, the site’s navigation and content has been streamlined to improve visitor experiences.
