Kentucky Family Makes Woodward Dream Cruise a Tradition

If you've visited the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak, you might already know the Fisk family.

Steve Fisk and his family travel from Georgetown, Kentucky in their 1951 Buick FLXIBLE Hearse for the cruise each year (his son, Steve Fisk Jr., points out that the car gets 24 miles a gallon).

Their vehicle is well known among cruisers and they say they've made friends at the event who they look forward to seeing again every year. This year their friends and family members have seven rooms rented at the Saranay Motel.

The best part of the event, Steve Fisk, Sr., says, is "being with the car people."

"And you'll see things here that you won't see anywhere else," he said.

"It's the best car show ever," added Loren Mulberry. "This is where it all started. Everybody still comes back for it. That's incredible."
