Michigan Postcard: Welcoming Campfire
Every year, families gather to celebrate at northern Michigan resort.
There's nothing like a campfire to bring people together – especially one as welcoming as this one.
Tammy Mayrend of Ypsilanti Township took this photo at Hanmer's Riverside Resort in Benzonia.
"Every summer over the 4th of July holiday, five generations from my mom's side of the family head to the area to celebrate together and enjoy my great uncle's fabulous fish fry," she said. "On this night we welcomed the family to our cabins for a home-cooked dinner, a campfire and s'mores!"
